Volunteers Needed to Support Bereaved Families Across Wales

NALS Cymru is looking for compassionate volunteers to work alongside our team, supporting individuals and families affected by suicide across Wales.

Losing someone to suicide can be an overwhelming experience, and our service offers a safe, compassionate and confidential space for individuals, families, friends and communities in the wake of such a loss. We walk alongside people in the immediate days following a bereavement, as well as months and years later, providing both emotional validation and critical practical help.

As a volunteer, you could support us in two main ways:

  • Emotional support – being a compassionate, non-judgemental presence over the phone, via video call, or in person, listening to those who are grieving.
  • Practical support – helping families through complex and stressful tasks, such as liaising with the police, financial matters, coroner inquests, or organising a funeral.

If you have time and compassion to offer, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us via our general enquiry form to find out more.
